Rogaine for Men Foam (Minoxidil)

Do’s

Before using Rogaine for Men Foam, read and follow all directions on the product package carefully. If you have any questions, consult your healthcare provider.

Clean and dry the scalp area before applying the medication. You may apply Rogaine for Men Foam to damp hair as well.

Rinse your hands in cold water and dry them well. Dispense about half a capful of foam onto your fingers. 

Gently rub the foam into your scalp and massage it throughout the affected area, being careful to minimize hair breakage. 

Allow the foam to dry completely before styling your hair or going to bed.

After applying Rogaine for Men Foam, wash your hands thoroughly to remove any residue.

Apply the foam only to the scalp. 

If you experience scalp irritation, you may need to avoid using Rogaine on the same days that you have your hair colored or chemically treated.

It takes time for hair to regrow. Most people need to use Rogaine for Men Foam regularly for at least 4 months to see benefits. Continuous use is necessary to maintain hair growth. 

If your condition does not improve or worsens after using the medication for 4 to 6 months, or if you have concerns about your health, consult your healthcare provider.

Don’ts

Do not use Rogaine for Men Foam on skin that is red, painful, irritated, scraped, cut, or infected. 

Do not let the medication get in your eyes. If this happens, rinse your eyes with large amounts of cool water.

Do not use Rogaine for Men Foam more often or apply more than the recommended dosage. Also, avoid applying it to an irritated or sunburned scalp, as this can lead to serious side effects.

Common Side Effects:

Scalp irritation, such as itching, redness, or dryness

Increased hair shedding during the first few weeks of use

Temporary hair loss or thinning when treatment is stopped

Less Common Side Effects:

Allergic reactions, including rash, hives, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat

Chest pain or rapid heartbeat

Dizziness or lightheadedness

Unwanted facial hair growth (if the medication comes into contact with the face)

Headache

Rogaine for Men Foam is not intended for use by women or for baldness at the front of the scalp or receding hairline in men.

An overdose of Rogaine is not expected to be dangerous. However, use the medication as directed and do not use more than the recommended amount.

Women should not use minoxidil products that are made specifically for men. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a healthcare provider before using Rogaine.

Rogaine may increase sensitivity to sunlight. Take precautions to prevent overexposure to the sun. This may include wearing protective clothing and using sunscreen.
