Indication : Nicorette Mint can be used to combat nicotine addiction. It is a chewing gum that provides low levels of nicotine so that cravings can be reduced over time. It also helps to reduce physical withdrawal symptoms. Storage : Nicorette Mint gum should be stored away from sunlight, heat, moisture and at room temperature. Product Information : General Information : Precaution : Be aware that dental or problems with the mouth may affect Nicorette Mint use. Before using Nicorette Mint, tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, an irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure or chest pain; a jaw condition called TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disease; an overactive thyroid; diabetes; pheochromocytoma (tumor of the adrenal gland); liver or kidney disease; a stomach ulcer; or asthma or chronic pulmonary disease. Patient Family Information: Follow your doctor's recommendations closely and do not take larger doses than prescribed. Chew the gum like regular chewing gum but stop once you start feeling a tingling sensation or pepper-like taste. Once the feeling or taste occurs, keep the gum between your cheek and gum until the tingling sensation dissipates. After than, resume chewing until the taste or sensation returns again and place it on the other side of your mouth. Do not chew too fast as it may release too much nicotine and cause stomach issues, hiccups, or nausea. After 30 minutes, remove the gum or when the sensation or taste no longer returns. After chewing the gum, do not eat or drink for 15 minutes. Contraindication : Do not use Nicorette Mint if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breast feeding.
