Do’s

• Be prepared: Read the instructions and leaflet carefully before you need to use EpiPen Jr and with every refill. Ask your healthcare provider if anything is unclear.
• Carry it with you: Keep EpiPen Jr with you at all times in a readily accessible location.
• Before needing it, ensure the EpiPen Jr can be easily removed from its carrying case. If not, consult your healthcare provider.
• Regularly check the EpiPen Jr for clarity and discoloration. Don't use it if the solution is cloudy, pink, or brown. Discard and replace it.
• Practice using EpiPen Jr beforehand so you're prepared for an emergency.
• Make sure a family member, caregiver, or someone close knows where you keep EpiPen Jr and how to use it in case you can't inject yourself.
• Inject EpiPen Jr into your thigh as instructed by your healthcare provider and the manufacturer's instructions. It can be injected through clothing if necessary.
• After using EpiPen Jr, get medical help right away. Inform the healthcare provider about the self-administered epinephrine injection.
• You may require another dose if symptoms don't improve or return after the first injection.

Don'ts

• Avoid injecting EpiPen Jr into hands, feet, buttocks, or any area other than the thigh. Seek immediate medical help if accidental injection occurs outside the thigh.
• Don’t use it on infants/children without holding leg: For young children, firmly hold their leg still before and during injection to prevent injuries.
• Don't reuse EpiPen Jr. Discard it properly after use according to instructions.

Common side effects of EpiPen PAK Auto-Injector may include:

• Fast, irregular, or pounding heartbeat.
• Sweating.
• Nausea or vomiting.
• Breathing problems.
• Paleness.
• Shakiness..
• Feelings of overexcitement, nervousness, or anxiety.
• Anxiety or nervousness
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Heart palpitations (feeling like your heart is racing or pounding)
• Nausea and vomiting
• Pale skin, sweating
• Weakness or tremors

Serious side effects:

• Irregular heartbeat
• Difficulty breathing (worsening of allergic reaction)
• Chest pain
• Fainting
• Vision changes
• Seizures
• Confusion
• Signs of infection at the injection site (redness, swelling, warmth, pain)

Disclose any allergies to epinephrine or any ingredients in EpiPen Auto Injector Jr. However, even with a sulfite allergy, using EpiPen Jr. in an emergency is crucial because epinephrine can save your life.

Inform your healthcare provider about any pre-existing health problems, especially:

• Heart problems (angina, irregular heartbeat)
• High blood pressure
• Thyroid disease
• Diabetes

EpiPen Jr. may cause dizziness. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or activities requiring alertness until these effects subside. Limit alcohol consumption and discuss marijuana use with your healthcare provider as these can worsen dizziness.

Older adults may be more sensitive to side effects, especially a rapid rise in blood pressure.

EpiPen Jr. can be used safely during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
