Zaditen
This medicine is used for the treatment of asthma. It works by inhibiting certain substances in the body that cause the inflammation and symptoms of asthma. It is not effective for the prevention or treatment of acute asthma attacks. Regular use along with other anti-asthma medications can reduce the frequency, severity, and duration of asthma symptoms or attacks in children.
Important Information about Zaditen
Tell your doctor if you have allergic reactions to Zaditen or any other substance, such as foods, preservatives, or dyes. Tell your doctor if you are taking antidiabetic agents, antihistamines, hypnotics, and sedatives. Additionally, your doctor will need to know if you:
- Have diabetes mellitus (sugar diabetes)
- Have epilepsy (seizures)
- Are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding
- Are on any special diet such as a low-sugar diet
For the best results it is important to take Zaditen regularly and exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Use caution while driving or operating any machinery as Zaditen may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Diabetic patients should take this medicine with care.
Zaditen Side effects
Consult your doctor immediately if any of the following possible side effects occur.
Less common – Chills,cough, diarrhea, fever; general feeling of discomfort or illness; headache; joint pain; loss of appetite; muscle aches and pains; nausea; runny nose; shivering; sore throat; sweating; trouble sleeping; unusual tiredness or weakness; vomiting.
Rare side effects – Abdominal or stomach pain; blistering, itching, peeling, or redness of skin; bloody or cloudy urine; clay-colored stools; convulsions; dark urine; difficult, burning, or painful urination; dizziness; frequent urge to urinate; muscle spasm or jerking of all extremities; rash; sudden loss of consciousness; unpleasant breath odor; vomiting of blood; yellow eyes or skin.
