Timoptic Ocudose Preservative Free is indicated for the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.

Do’s

  • Use this medication in the affected eye(s) as directed by your healthcare provider. The dosage and frequency will depend on your specific condition.
  • Before applying the eye drops, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly to avoid any contamination.
  • If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using the eye drops. Wait at least 15 minutes after using Timoptic Ocudose Preservative Free before putting your contact lenses back in.
  • Timoptic Ocudose Preservative Free comes in single-use containers without preservatives. Open the container just before you are ready to use it. After use, discard the remaining contents of the container right away.
  • Tilt your head back, look upward, and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pouch.
  • Hold the dropper directly over your eye and place one drop in the eye.
  • Look downward and gently close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. Apply gentle pressure with one finger at the corner of your eye (near the nose) to prevent the medication from draining out.
  • Repeat the steps for the other eye if instructed by your healthcare provider.
  • If you are using other eye medications, such as drops or ointments, wait at least 10 minutes before applying them after using Timoptic Ocudose Preservative Free. Use eye drops before eye ointments to allow the drops to enter the eye properly.
  • After using the eye drops, wait several minutes for your vision to clear before driving or operating machinery.
  • Use Timoptic Ocudose Preservative Free regularly at the same time(s) each day to get the most benefit from it.
  • Even if you feel well, continue using the medication as prescribed. Remember, many people with glaucoma or high eye pressure do not experience symptoms.

Don’ts

  • Do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface to prevent contamination.
  •  Avoid blinking or rubbing your eyes after applying the medication.
