Drug Description : Ortho Cyclen is a specific formulation of birth control pills that come in a twenty-one day package. These birth control pills are used for the prevention of pregnancy. Ortho Cyclen works by using female hormones (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) to change the mucus of the cervix in order to make it more difficult for sperm to contact the egg and for an egg to attach to the wall of the uterus. Store Ortho Cyclen pills in their original packaging. Ensure that you store pills in a safe place that cannot be reached by children and that the packaging is in an area that is protected from heat, light and moisture. Ortho Cyclen pills are a form of prescription medicine, and should be taken in the exact fashion outlined in your prescription to effectively work as a contraceptive.
