Do’s

• Neuleptil is typically used twice a day. However, your healthcare provider may suggest a different schedule that is more appropriate for you; follow their instructions carefully. 
• To ensure the exact dosage, measure each dose with an accurate measuring device. 
• If you happen to forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose.
• Neuleptil should be taken regularly and continuously to maintain its beneficial effects.
• This medication may irritate the stomach, so it is best to take it with food.

Don’t

• Do not use more of the product or take it more often than prescribed.
• Do not double the next dose to catch up on the missed one.
• Avoid consuming coffee, spicy food, or alcohol while taking Neuleptil, as alcohol may intensify the effect of the medication
• Do not stop using Neuleptil suddenly, especially if you have been on it for several weeks. If you are considering stopping the medication, talk to your healthcare provider first.

• Weight gain
• Changes in menstrual periods
• Sexual dysfunction
• Skin rash or itchin

Neuleptil has been associated with EEG changes, disturbed temperature regulation, and seizures. If you experience any unusual symptoms, seek medical attention.

Most deaths associated with Neuleptil appear to be either cardiovascular or infectious in nature. Discuss the potential risks and benefits of this medication with your healthcare provider, especially if you have any pre-existing cardiovascular or infectious conditions.
