Alinia (nitazoxanide) is indicated for the treatment of diarrhea caused by Giardia lamblia or Cryptosporidium parvum in patients 1 year of age and older. It is an antiprotozoal medicine that specifically targets infections caused by protozoa, which are single-cell parasites found in moist environments such as lakes, streams, and soil.

Do’s
