What is Centrum Used for?
Centrum is a mineral and vitamin supplement used to treat patients with low levels of minerals and vitamins in their body because their diets do not give enough vitamins and minerals to their bodies. This supplement works by giving extra minerals and vitamins to the body.
How should Centrum be stored?
Store at room temperature. Keep away from moisture, light and heat. Do not store in the bathroom or any place of reach to children or pets.

How should I take Centrum?
Read the directions on the prescription label. Do not take larger doses than prescribed by your doctor. Take this medication as directed on the label or by your pharmacist, doctor, or other healthcare provider. Take Centrum once a day with or without food. Patients also taking a bisphosphonate (for example alendronate) should wait a minimum of 2 hours before taking Centrum. If one or more doses are missed, take it right away. There is no cause for concern if one or more doses are missed.
When should Centrum not be taken?
Do not take Centrum if you are allergic to any ingredient in the product. Do not take Centrum with any other multivitamin because you may overdose on vitamins and minerals.
What precautions should I follow when taking Centrum?
Before taking Centrum, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or breastfeeding; if you are taking prescription or over the counter medication, herbal preparation, or dietary supplements; if you have allergies to foods, medicines, or other substances; if you have liver problems, anemia, or metabolism problems; if you are currently taking the following: acitretin or anticoagulants such as warfarin or levodopa or penicillamine.
What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Centrum?
If you are also prescribed with quinolone antibiotic (ciprofloxacin) or tetracycline antibiotic such as minocycline, talk to your pharmacist or doctor about how to take them with Centrum.
What are the side effects of Centrum?
Severe: Severe allergic reactions including itching, tightness in the chest, rash, hives, difficulty breathing, and swelling of the mouth, lips, tongue or face.
