Before you begin taking Ticlid, let your doctor know of any medical conditions you have, especially if: you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding; you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medication, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement; you have allergies of any kind; or you have an increased risk of bleeding due to trauma or surgery, a stomach ulcer, or kidney or liver problems.

Ticlid is not recommended for use in children as the safety and effectiveness of the medication has not been confirmed in this age group. If you are or become pregnant, discuss any potential risks of taking Ticlid with your doctor. Do not breast-feed while you are taking Ticlid.
