How should I take Periactin/Cyproheptadine ?

Before you take Periactin tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, a history of asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease, or an overactive thyroid. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or if you become pregnant during treatment. Periactin may pass through breast milk and can harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication while you are breastfeeding a baby. Some drugs can interact and cause unwanted side effects.
