How should I take Navoban/Tropisetrone ?

This is a prescription medication that should be taken only in the manner which is described in your prescription. If the directions on your prescription are unclear, contact your healthcare provider for more information. Your dosage may depend on the cause of your symptoms; the dosages for those having surgery are often different than the dosages for those having chemotherapy. This medication is generally taken each morning about an hour before breakfast. Navoban should generally be taken with a full glass of water.

When should Navoban /Tropisetrone not be taken?

If you have ever experienced an allergic reaction after taking anything that contains tropisetron, if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Navoban, or if you are allergic to any medications that are similar to Navoban, you should not take this medication. This medication is not recommended for use by pregnant women, as it is not known whether it could cause harmful effects to an unborn child.

What precautions should I follow when taking Navoban /Tropisetrone ?

If you have kidney problems, liver problems, heart problems or high blood pressure, let your doctor know before you take Navoban. If you are lactose-intolerant, you should additionally talk to your doctor before taking Navoban, as this medication contains lactose. If you have multiple allergies, let your doctor know before you take Navoban.

This medication may cause side effects including dizziness or tiredness; take capsules with caution if you are required to drive or perform any tasks that require your full attention.

When should Navoban /Tropisetrone not be taken?

Severe (seek immediate attention): irregular heartbeat, fainting, severe allergic reactions, and feeling of tightness in the chest.

Common: headache, constipation, dizziness or lightheadedness, tiredness, sleepiness, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, or hot flushes.
