What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Haldol /Haloperidol ?

Haldol should be taken with extreme caution if you have ever had breast cancer, a severe heart or circulatory disorder, chest pain, glaucoma, seizures, or any drug allergies. Haldol can potentially increase the severity of side effects when taken with alcohol and other medicines, such as anesthetics and certain pain relievers (opiates). Haldol may cause drowsiness or changes vision, so use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination or physical dexterity. Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun or other forms of UV light (such as tanning beds) and use sunscreens and wear protective clothing as this medication may cause sensitivity to sunlight.
