Take this medication as directed on the label or by your pharmacist, doctor, or other healthcare provider. Citracal is taken with water. Fill a glass with the amount of water as directed on the package. Dissolve the Citracal tablets in the water completely and drink the entire mixture once the tablets have dissolved. For Citracal to absorb in your body better, take with food. Do not double dose on Citracal. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. Unless it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular dosing schedule.

Common: Constipation; increased urination, decreased appetite, nausea or vomiting, or dry mouth or increased thirst.
