How should I take Accupril/Quinapril ?

When should Accupril /Quinapril not be taken?

If you have allergies to any ingredients of this medication or the medication itself do not use it. IF you are in the 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy, do not use Accupril. If you have had a past history of angioedema which was caused by an ACE inhibitor, do not use this medication.

What precautions should I follow when taking Accupril /Quinapril ?

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, taking any other medications or herbal supplements, have any allergies, or have a history of diabetes or heart disorders in your family. Also it is suggested that you consult with your doctor before using Accupril if you are able to become pregnant, have blood vessel problems, bone marrow problems, or problems which may affect the function of your kidney/liver.

What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Accupril /Quinapril ?

When used during pregnancy may cause injury or be fatal to the fetus.

When should Accupril /Quinapril not be taken?

Severe: Severe allergic reaction, pain in chest area, fainting, infection, numb sensation in limbs, sore throat, shortness of breath, changes in heartbeat, strange stomach pain, jaundice.

Common: Dizziness, headaches, exhaustion, lightheadedness, vomiting.
