Neupro Product Description

Neupro (Rotigotine) is used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease, also called shaking palsy. Neupro is a dopamine agonist that helps improve your muscle control and helps to reduce muscle stiffness to allow more natural movements of the body. Store the Neupro patches at room temperature in a sealed container away from moisture, heat, and light. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. To use the skin patch, apply the patch right away after removing it from its protective pouch. Do not cut it or alter it in any way, and do not touch the adhesive surface of the patch. Apply the patch to a clean, dry, and healthy skin area on your stomach, thigh, hip, flank (side of the body between the ribs and pelvis), shoulder, or upper arm. Choose a non-oily, hairless area free of scars, cuts, burns or skin irritations. If you need to put the patch on a hair area, the area should be shaved at least 3 days before applying the patch. Avoid putting the patch on skin folds, under a waistband, or on areas where it could be rubbed by tight clothing. Press the patch firmly in place with your palm for around 20 or 30 seconds. Be sure there is good contact with the skin around the corners of the patch. The patch is waterproof and should stay in place during showers, baths, and swimming activities. If your patch falls off be sure to apply a new one as soon as possible. After 24 hours, remove the patch and choose a different place to apply a new patch. Do not put a patch in the same place for at least 2 weeks. Do not leave the patch on for more than 24 hours as it may lose effectiveness and irritate the skin. When removing a patch, fold it in half with the adhesive sides together and place it in its protective pouch or aluminum foil. Make sure you dispose it safely out of reach of children. For the best results, apply the patch at the same time every day. If you forget to change your patch at your usual time, remove the patch and put on a new one.
