What is Quibron T/SR used for?
This medicine is used to treat symptoms of chest tightness and difficulty breathing associated with asthma and other lung diseases (eg, chronic bronchitis and emphysema).
When should Quibron T/SR not be taken?
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine or to similar medications or products (eg, caffeine, chocolate) you have active peptic disease you have a seizure disorder you are taking another similar medicine
What precautions should I follow when taking Quibron T/SR?
Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condition
What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Quibron T/SR?
What are the side effects of Quibron T/SR?
Most severe: Fast heartbeat; persistent nausea and vomiting; irregular heart rhythms; seizures; vomiting of blood.
Most common: Nausea; vomiting; headache; sleeplessness.
Other: Diarrhea; irritability; restlessness; muscle tremors; increase in urination; nervousness; disorientation.
How should I take Quibron T/SR?
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medicine should be taken at the same time each day. You must be consistent in the way you take this medicine. Either consistently take this medicine with food or take this medicine on a empty stomach. Do not crush or chew. However, this medicine may be split if it is scored. The medicine shell may be seen in your stools. This is normal. Stop taking this medicine and contact your health care provider if nausea, vomiting, persistent headache, sleeplessness, or rapid heartbeat occurs. Contact your doctor if you develop a new illness, especially if accompanied by a persistent fever, if you experience worsening of a chronic illness, or if you start or stop smoking cigarettes or marijuana. Do not use this medicine to treat an acute asthma attack. Remind all of your health care providers that you are taking this medicine, especially when a new medicine is added or an old medicine is stopped. Avoid large amounts of caffeine-containing food or beverages, such as tea, coffee, cocoa, and cola drinks, or large amounts of chocolate because these products may increase side effects. Lab tests may be necessary to monitor therapy. Be sure to keep appointments. Do not stop taking this medicine without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than is prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it at the next scheduled time.
How should Quibron T/SR be stored?
Store between 59 to 86 degrees F.
