Benzaclin is a medication used to treat acne. It works by stopping bacteria growth on the skin and creates a mild drying environment on the skin which allows excess dirt and oil to be washed away.Store at room temperature. If skin is sunburned, windbrned, chapped, irritated, dry or broken, do not use Benzaclin. Patients using Benzaclin may not notice improvement until several weeks later. Do not take more of Benzaclin than prescribed by your doctor because if too much medication is absorbed into the body, it can cause serious side effects.
