Extreme Workout Routine for Recreational AthletesThe heart is a muscle that many of us take for granted each day. Yes, we recognize its great importance and the stressful job it has pumping blood throughout the body, but do we really care? You could say “of course we care; if the heart stops we die.” However, saying we care and showing we care are two completely different things.

Every single day people abuse their hearts; sometimes we harm our hearts on multiple occasions every day. We ignore its needs and expect it to put up with our neglect, but just like a relationship gone wrong, eventually, it won’t put up with your actions.

However, in order to maintain a strong and healthy relationship with your heart, there are some things you can do.

1. Don’t Smoke – Smoking is the leading cause of heart disease. Try quitting if you do smoke as it increases blood pressure and the tendency for blood to clot.

2. Get Active – I cannot stress the importance of exercise, not only for your heart but your entire body. Just 30 minutes a day of physical activity can help you reduce the risk of heart disease.

3. Eat Healthy Fats – Healthy fats will help raise your good cholesterol and lower your overall cholesterol. Make sure to limit your unhealthy fats as this can lead to high cholesterol (bad) which can lead to blockages in the arteries which may lead to a heart attack or strokehttps://www.doctorsolve.com/medical-conditions/stroke/.

4. Get Some Fiber – Fiber is extremely beneficial to maintaining a healthy heart. Make sure to get at least 25 grams of fiber a day.

5. Watch out for Sugars and Salts – Limiting your intake of sugar and salt can have an incredible effect on your heart. When you eat a significant amount of sugars, you are more likely to develop diabetes and heart disease. Too much salt can result in high blood pressure and heart disease.

Health experts believe that omega-3 fatty acids are one of the most important nutrients that are missing from the average American’s diet. This omega-3 deficiency has been extensively studied and may be the reason why so many of us suffer from heart disease, cancer, and brain disorders. It has even been discovered that when a proper amount of omega-3 is regularly present in the body, these diseases and disorders tend to become less severe, and sometimes vanish completely. Let’s read about some of the health benefits of omega-3 fatty acids.

Omega 3 Health Benefits in Anti-Aging

New research shows that omega-3s slow down the cell-aging process. This means that omega-3 fatty acids can protect against skin aging on a cellular level, making your skin appear younger and healthier. By incorporating more fish into your diet or using omega-3 supplements, you can slow down the aging process and feel a healthy, more energetic glow.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids Benefit Acne Treatment

Omega-3 fish oil is a natural inflammatory substance. One of the main characteristics of acne is that it causes red, swollen spots on the skin. A balanced, regular intake of omega-3 will help lessen the severity of the acne inflammation and reduce the look of acne and other skin disorders related to inflammation. In addition, Omega-3 fish oils also improve the look of hair and nails, this is one of the unique omega-3 fatty acids benefits.

Cure Mental health problems

People who have mental imbalances such as depression, anxiety, mood swings, bipolar disorder, postpartum depression, Alzheimer’s disease, ADHD, and ADD have been linked to a deficiency in omega-3 fats. Omega-3 fatty acids can naturally improve the function and balance of hormones in your body.

Cancer Fighting Benefits of Omega-3 Supplement

Although it seems like there are a lot of benefits of omega-3 supplements and that they can do anything, they cannot cure cancer, but increased intakes of omega-3 fatty acids have been found to help fight against and prevent cancers such as breast cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and ovarian cancer. More studies are currently being conducted in this area.

The most tempting thing you have to face each and every day: is the infamous snooze button. Just another 5, 10, or 15 minutes of sleep which people actually have come to believe will make a difference. People have actually become addicted to hitting the snooze button and have adjusted to a routine where hitting the snooze button once, twice, or six times is just part of their morning schedule. This is unhealthy and there are other ways to solve this problem.

1. Change your schedule

If you are used to 6 hours of sleep, then try to sleep those six hours half an hour earlier. Also, try to avoid any distractions too near the time when you are planning to fall asleep. Television, reading, playing computer games, etc. keep your brain active and will make it more difficult to fall asleep right away, thus making you more tired in the morning.

2. Move your alarm clock

You have probably heard this one before, moving your alarm clock across the room (even for a short period of time) will help you to be motivated to get out of bed to turn off your alarm clock. Once you have gotten up and moved across the room to turn off your alarm clock, stay standing. Avoid sitting down for 10 minutes after you have woken up. If you normally have a shower in the morning, try to wake yourself with a cold blast (as unpleasant as this may sound, it helps).

3. Get into a powernap routine

Having a short 30-minute to 45-minute nap is just as rejuvenating as a two-hour nap. In a normal 6 to 8-hour sleep period, your body gets approximately an hour and a half of REM sleep. This kind of sleep is what keeps your brain sharp. Although REM sleep is usually stage 5 of sleep, you can force the REM sleep stage during nap time if you have scheduled short naps. Getting your body into this mode is very difficult but once you adjust it is worth it. The extreme method of this is called the Uberman’s Sleep Schedule.

4. Eat breakfast

Yes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. How can a flashlight work when there is no battery? It is the same for your brain, if you consume no food (energy) you cannot function optimally.

Bananas

These are serious mood boosters due to their mix of vitamins A, B6, and C; fiber, tryptophan, potassium, phosphorous, iron, protein, and good carbohydrates. The natural sugars in a banana will give you a quick boost of energy while the fiber will help you sustain that energy. This will prevent a drop in your energy and mood and high blood sugar levels. Vitamin B6 helps the brain convert tryptophan into serotonin, the mood-boosting hormone. If you’re feeling down and need a snack have a banana.

Body posture

Have you ever noticed that you have a perkier step when you are happy? Happy people walk fast, stand tall and are full of life and energy. Take notice of the way you carry yourself. Try not to shuffle your feet, walk slowly and slouch – this will make you appear lifeless and pessimistic. If you’re feeling sluggish, taking big steps, standing tall, and walking faster will help you look and feel optimistic and energetic.

Sleep

By getting less sleep than we need (for example – 6 hours instead of 7), our brains tend to lean towards negative thoughts instead of
positive ones. An article in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that even one night of insufficient sleep can negatively affect our mood. Even though it’s not easy to get those extra couple hours of sleep, your mood depends on it. Shut off the computers and televisions and get the sleep your brain needs.

Sunlight

Getting fresh air and exercise is the best way to boost your mood and your energy. The natural combination on a regular basis will work every time to pick you up. Take long deep breaths as you go on a brisk walk and reap the mood-lifting benefits of exercise. Remember to wear sunscreen when spending long periods of time outside in order to protect against sun damage.

Walnuts

These contain a lot of healthy components that help improve your mood. Walnuts have omega-3s, vitamin B6, tryptophan, proteins, and folate. Omega-3s have health benefits including cancer-preventing and acne-preventing benefits, and have been linked with better moods and lower depression rates. A study by Harvard Medical School found that omega-3s and uridine (another component found in walnuts) worked in the same way as antidepressant medications. The average dose of omega-3 oils is 1,000 mg per day. You can get the same amount in half an ounce of walnuts.

or a heart attack. They should be outside playing. Yet, here we are, 2010, and we still can’t get it through our thick skulls. Eat healthy or at least eat healthier.

A study conducted on 17-year-olds was very distressing to me. 40 percent of the children who were classified as obese were between the ages of 3 and 5. Children who are heavier had elevated C-reactive protein (CRP) levels. CRP is an inflammatory marker that many experts believe shows the amount of risk a person has of developing heart disease and Stroke.

I am so surprised that with all the information available, many parents still choose to teach their children bad eating habits. This isn’t like going out to McDonald’s once in a while but going to McDonald’s multiple times every week. When children start showing significant signs of developing a heart attack or stroke you know something went wrong. At this point, it is almost as if the parents are killing their children.

I think it’s time to take some responsibility and really reinforce some much-needed rules. Eat healthier and get outside every so often. Instead of always playing baseball on a video game system, try going out and playing catch with a friend. Get your kids involved in sports. Don’t let obesity consume your child.
