Yes, the vaccine is here, but you might have to wait a little while before you can get it. The lineups for the H1N1 vaccine could have a person convinced that a big-name musical group has just come to town. That or everyone went to the amusement park and the best roller coaster broke down.

How bad are the lines? Well let’s put it this way, hundreds actually “camped out” and waited for doors to open. Much like I plan to do when the next Call of Duty comes out (man I can’t wait for Modern Warfare 2). Now I’m not sure how smart it is to wait outside in the freezing cold, but these people definitely have determination. And I admire determination.

For a long time many people have seemed divided on the topic of the effectiveness, and the necessity of a vaccine, but as anyone can see, there are many people that have bought into the “Swine Flu Scare,” but who can blame them. Even I’m still debating whether or not I should get vaccinated.
If you do plan on receiving the vaccine I offer the best of luck to you, and I hope you don’t have to stay outside very long. I also hope the vaccine works for you. Getting sick is just not fun.

Oats and Barely contain a significant amount of fiber that contains antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. Consuming a lot of oats or barley will lessen your chances of getting a disease/flu. They also help speed up the healing process and boost your immune system.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Sweet Potatoes

Honestly, I’m not sure. I’ve heard all different sorts of ideas, some too harsh, others not harsh enough. But everyone has an opinion as I’ve come to learn.

Sometimes, I find I forget that and think my opinion is the only one that matters, but that’s only because I believe so passionately about my opinion. But this kind of question is one even I can’t come to a final answer on.

When you transmit the HIV virus it’s like pointing a gun at someone’s head. But that gun only has one bullet in it. You know that it will go off, but you don’t know when. HIV causes AIDS, an incurable and very deadly disease.

The progress made in fighting HIV/AIDS has come a very long way and vaccines are being created and tested. Hopefully one of those will work. But as of right now there is no cure.

People who contract the deadly virus sometimes die within just a short while after receiving HIV. Others can live for years and years, thanks to medications.

But what happens when someone decides to go around and spread the virus on purpose?

Some people argue that the guilty person should only receive a light punishment because they also have the HIV virus and are also condemned to the same inevitable fate. Others say that what that person has done is just the same as 1st-degree murder and they should be given the life sentence.

Extremists believe that the person spreading the infection has condemned one person to death so in return he/she should be put to death as well.

While I don’t agree with the death penalty I do see the logic there. The eye for an eye kind of treatment.

However, if I had my way then the guilty person would receive a life sentence, in solitary confinement. This still punishes the person for causing irreparable harm to another human being, limits the human-to-human contact, but still lets the person live out the remainder of their life.

While serving their sentence maybe they will realize the severity of their actions. I’m open to suggestions though and would love to hear what other people think on the matter.

What kind of punishment, if any, would you give someone who knowingly transmitted the HIV virus?

Kava or Piper Methsyticum is a tall shrub that is part of the pepper family that grows in the South Pacific islands. The root which is used medicinally and has been traditionally chewed or made into a drink is available in capsule, tablet, or liquid extract.

Most commonly people use Kava to help treat their anxiety and insomnia. However, Kava can cause sedation, and when taking high amounts, intoxication may also occur. There have actually been quite a few studies on the effects of Kava. Most have shown that Kava does appear to be effective in treating anxiety. However, the effects are generally mild if taken as directed.

However, there have been some things that should be known. The FDA issued a warning about Kava in 2002. There has also been a list of some rather troubling side effects. Kava has been linked with liver conditions including hepatitis, cirrhosis, and even liver failure. However, these liver reactions are thought to be due to pre-existing liver disease.

There are some other side-effects and drug interactions that have been reported with Kava. Remember before you try Kava to talk to your doctor first.

According to a recent study, a woman taking a 24-day birth control regimen leads to fewer cases of unexpected pregnancy.

With many women now taking birth control (find birth control pills here) into their hands oral contraceptives have become a very popular way to prevent pregnancy.

However, new data suggests that the normal 21-pack of oral contraceptives isn’t as effective as the newer 24-pack (There are also some women who take the oral contraceptive for 28 days or longer to prevent or severely limit menstruation).

The 21-pack of oral contraceptives is still efficient, in fact, most range from having a failure rating of only 1-2%.

Although 1-2% doesn’t sound bad, the 24-pack of oral contraceptives has a failure rating of just under 1%. Sometimes just that little bit extra is what makes the real difference.

For those of you that don’t understand what the good doctor said let me give it a shot.

Having a 24-day regimen increases the amount of time your body is continuously receiving the contraceptive.

Also, the drospirenone, which is one ingredient that helps prevent birth control, stays in your body longer and breaks down slower than other progesterones. Hope that helps a bit.

Whether or not you choose the 24-pack oral contraceptive is up to you, it’s your body and your choice. This is just to give some people the information so they can decide if the specific risks of birth control are worth it.
