This medication is for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of Parkinson's disease.

What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Mirapex?
This medicine can cause drowsiness and may trigger hallucinations, especially if you are over 65 or have an advanced case of Parkinson's.
What are the side effects of Mirapex?
Most severe: Abnormal dreams, arthritis, chest pain, confusion, constipation, decreased sensitivity to touch, difficulty breathing, difficulty walking, dizziness, dizziness upon standing, drowsiness, dry mouth, hallucinations, increased muscle tone, increased urination, insomnia, involuntary movement (jerky motions), lack of appetite, memory loss, nasal inflammation, nausea, swelling, urinary tract infections, vision abnormalities, weakness
Most common: Early Parkinson's disease: Nausea; dizziness; sleepiness; sleeplessness; weakness; constipation; hallucinations. Advanced Parkinson's disease: Low blood pressure when sitting or lying down; difficulty moving; abnormal movement; sleeplessness; dizziness; accidental injury; hallucinations; abnormal dreams; weakness; constipation; confusion; sleepiness; abnormal muscle tone; dry mouth; abnormal walking; tight muscles; memory loss; urinary frequency.
Other: Abnormal ejaculation, abnormal heartbeat, agitation, blood clots, blood in urine, blood circulation problems, convulsions, difficult or painful urination, enlarged abdomen, eye disorders, heart attack, heart problems, joint problems, lung problems, mental illness, muscular problems, prostate problems, severe chest pain (angina), thirst
How should I take Mirapex?
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Take this medication with food if stomach upset occurs. Dosage will be started low and gradually increased to achieve the best results. Do not change dose sooner than recommended. Hallucinations or abnormal dreams may occur whole taking this medication. Older patients are at a higher risk of hallucinations than younger patients. Patients may develop low blood pressure while taking this medication, especially at the beginning of taking this medication. Do not rise rapidly after sitting or lying down, especially after a long period of time. This medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring mental alertness, coordination, and physical dexterity. Avoid alcohol and use caution if you are taking other central nervous system depressants (eg, narcotics, tranquilizers, antihistamines) because of the sedative side effects. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medication. Do not take more medication than is prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist. Lab tests may be required to monitor treatment. Be sure to keep appointments.
How should Mirapex be stored?
Store Tablet at 77 degrees F. Protect from light.
