What is Mandelamine used for?
This medication is for the removal or control of certain bacteria in urine.
When should Mandelamine not be taken?
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine you have kidney problems
What precautions should I follow when taking Mandelamine?
Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condition
What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Mandelamine?
While being treated with this medicine, eat foods high in protein including plums or prunes, or drink cranberry juice, unless otherwise instructed by your health care provider. Drink plenty of fluids.
What are the side effects of Mandelamine?
Most severe: Painful urination.
Most common: Stomach problems; skin rash.

How should I take Mandelamine?
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medication should be taken after each meal and at bedtime. Painful urination may occur while taking this medication. Taking less of this medication can control this problem. The limiting of certain foods and medicine may be needed while taking this medication. Talk with your health care provider about which foods and medicine that you cannot take while on this medication. Do not stop taking this medication without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medication. Do not take more medication than is prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider or health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.
How should Mandelamine be stored?
Store Tablet 59 to 86 degrees F. Protect from light and moisture.
