Your health care provider should explain to you the danger this medication poses to the unborn child if the medication is taken after the third month of pregnancy. If this occurs, tell your health care provider. If fainting occurs, stop taking this medication until you talk with your health care provider. Excessive sweating, not drinking enough fluids, diarrhea, or vomiting can lead to an excessive fall in blood pressure. These conditions can cause fainting and lightheadedness. Dizziness or lightheadedness may occur if you stand up too fast from lying or sitting. Get up slowly and avoid sudden posture changes. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness. Patients being treated for high blood pressure may feel tired or rundown for a few weeks after beginning therapy.
